Why Choose Virtual Physio Over a Local Australian Clinic?
For many musculoskeletal issues, virtual physiotherapy is just as effective as in-person care — without the A$80+ price tag or the limited Medicare coverage.
Ideal for Regional & Remote Australia
No local physio for hundreds of kilometres? Telehealth removes the distance barrier entirely, giving you expert assessment and a personalised rehab plan wherever you are.
Save vs. Private Clinics
Private physio in Sydney or Melbourne often costs A$80–A$130 per session. Our flat A$52 model saves you hundreds over a standard rehab plan — especially once your extras cap is used.
Expert Second Opinions

Australian Patient FAQs
Is physiotherapy covered by Medicare in Australia?
Generally, no. Medicare does not cover most private physiotherapy unless you have a GP-referred Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan, which subsidises up to 5 allied-health visits per calendar year. Our service is direct-pay and does not provide Medicare rebates — but at A$52 per session, it's often cheaper than the out-of-pocket cost at an Australian private clinic.
Can I claim this on my private health insurance extras?
No. Because Dr. Tarun Garg is not registered with AHPRA under an Australian provider number, we cannot issue receipts that Australian private health funds will rebate. However, our flat A$52 fee is frequently lower than the gap you'd pay once your annual extras limit is reached, making it an affordable cash-pay option.
Are your physiotherapists registered with AHPRA?
Our consultations are provided by Dr. Tarun Garg, a highly experienced Senior Physiotherapist based in India. Because he is not registered with AHPRA (the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency), we cannot provide Medicare-rebatable services or bill Australian private health funds. However, he provides world-class, evidence-based rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and second opinions.
I live in regional or remote Australia — can you help?
Absolutely — this is one of our biggest strengths. Many Australians in regional, rural, and remote areas have limited or no local access to a physiotherapist. Telehealth removes the distance barrier entirely, giving you expert assessment and a personalised rehab plan from wherever you are, without a long drive to the nearest town.
What if I need hands-on manual therapy?
Modern physiotherapy research shows that active rehabilitation (targeted loading and movement) is far more effective than passive manual therapy for long-term recovery. Through video, Dr. Tarun will guide you through specific self-mobilisations, targeted exercises, and movement modifications. If your condition strictly requires hands-on intervention, we will honestly advise you to seek a local manual therapist.
What do I need for a virtual physio session?
A smartphone or laptop with a camera, comfortable clothing (shorts if we are assessing your knees/legs), and about 2 metres of clear floor space. If you have any MRI reports or X-rays from your GP or specialist, you can upload them directly when you book.
